How’s everyone’s weekend!?
I’m feeling a but bummed out it’s already Sunday night
hahaa
I had a pretty great weekend. Yesterday I went out to the mall and what not. Not going to be able to do that much longer. Holiday shopping has started and the roads are packed with panic-stricken insane drivers who are out to kill anyone in their path!
I found my new favorite key item Friday night! We ordered pizza for dinner and after-wards Mike asked why I was still dressed and not in my sweats? I told him we’ve been randomly going out some nights and I was tired of always having to throw on clothes and having fug hair when we do.
He laughed and got up and said, “Let’s get out then!!”
Found this top at Forever 21. Loved it! It’s a sparkly silver, loose fitted, short tee! It really reminded me of something I’d find at Free People. Plus I love the sparkle for the holiday season

I just had to get it!

Already got a compliment on it Saturday at Sephora, haahaa

Silver Sparkle Top - Forever 21
Stripe turtleneck - Target
Jean Shorts - Abercrombie & Fitch
Black leggings - Victoria’s Secret
Fringe Boots - Yesstyle

I also got a stripped cardigan on sale at Victoria’s Secret. It was already on sale but I also had a $10 gift card! So I got this for $11!

I went to the Japanese bookstore and was SO SO SOOOOO HAPPY to snag the December JJ issue!! At first I thought the calendar was stolen from it! I was expecting the typical booklet type to fall out and when it didn’t I was in a panic! Then I flipped through and noticed the damn Rinka calendar was a tear-out type! HAHAHAHAAA

Also, what’s with the backs of issues looking semi-like a cover? JJ and Pinky both have these special campaign back covers with the issue number and everything instead of a typical back ad.

Tsubasa’s Dolly Wink by Koji line has been revealing the lashes line.
The packaging is simply adorable, of course! I like how all the styles are pretty different from one another. With Koji’s Spring Heart lash line the differences are so subtle; which is a bit boring. I think my favorite lashes from this are the Baby Cute set, followed by Vivid Pop!

I also made a batch of vanilla funfetti cupcakes this weekend topped with Mike’s amazing homemade chocolate icing

Needless to say I’ve eaten like a dozen freakin’ cupcakes so far and my blood sugar is so out of whack! I’ve been on the edge of puking, but then the tummy ache goes away and I see those cupcakes and I go for another! HAHAHAH AAAAAAAAAAH! I’m perpetually 5 years old, LOL.

TV personality Becky, 25, and actor Ryuta Sato, 29, were named as having the “Best Smile of the Year 2009” by the Japan Dental Association during a ceremony on Sunday which was “Good Teeth Day.”
When Sato heard of his win, he joked, “Since I entered the celeb world, I’ve always wanted to win a “Something of the Year” award, so I’m really happy.” Becky was happy to hear that the prize for the award was a trip to Korea, exclaiming happily, “I’m so interested in Korea right now. I’m going to go buy tons of Korean goodies!”
The pair, who have worked together before, complimented one another, with Becky saying how happy she was to win the award together with “Ryuta-kun.” “He’s got such a powerful and bright smile.”
Sato, too, sung the praises of his co-winner, saying, “Becky is really perfect; she’s someone I look up to.”

nanojoumo- purity

I get a kick out of all the online "purity" groups. SO when the word purity came up for nanojoumo day 2 I had to lampoon it. The purity "logo" was put online as a purity card for a church gorup. It looks far cooler here than it did on the card. I pulled the card in to MS Publisher, reversed it and resized it to be about 8x10, i then printed it off onto a sheet of transparency film. I put it on the right side of the film this time and used a great deal of matte medium to transfer it to the pages.I had to cut it into 2 pieces to get it on, and I'll tell you the fold was a beast. the original logo was clearly going for a "urban and graf" feel. So the tendency of the transfer to peel and not go completely was a perfect medium to really take it there. I then outlined the letters with my pentouch pen, pressed down to get dribbles and runs. While that dried I looked at hundreds of images of scantily clad women bent over various objects, and quite frankly there are things that can't be unseen. Just the very act of attempting to find the image for the right corner has left my brain irreparably damaged. The things I do for art. I found the perfect picture, of a woman, scantily clad washing a car. I wanted the legs to frame the corner, so I first drew the leg for the right most side in soft pencil, added the crotch area and then the left leg. Next was to mix up some white person flesh tone and layer it over the drawing. I added her thong and it's all set. I blocked in some green coloring to set off the legs. Then I mixed up some gesso really thin and used a liner brush to spatter it on the page...
Maybe not the most pure purity page, but it's exactly what popped into my head when I first saw the word as the prompt.

My life is in the middle of a crazy change, so I decided now would be the time to create an extensive "To Read" list.
I am coping with mental illness and was curious to know are there any wounderful memoirs, fiction, novels, etc that do the subject of mental illness justice?
Help me add to my reading list.
Thanks.
I went to Alice's Teacup not too long ago and goodness, not only was the decor amazing, the food was just was appealing! If you live in the NYC area, you should definitely take a trip to the restaurant!

Pete Wentz finds it "odd and slightly amusing" that his band, Fall Out Boy, is issuing a greatest hits collection.
After all, it's been only four years since the Illinois-based foursome released their major-label debut, the multi-million-selling From Under The Cork Tree, and since that time they've put out just three other albums.
"Greatest hits records are a funny thing," Wentz says. "I always think of them as being from bands with loads of huge songs. Fall Out Boy, we're kind of a different group."
Indeed, the appearance of a greatest hits set (the official title is Believers Never Die - Greatest Hits) is fanning the flames on Fall Out Boy fan sites with rumors that the band (which also includes singer-songwriter and guitarist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley) might be pondering a breakup or a split from their label.

When we reported earlier this week that Keira Knightley would star in a Joe Wright-directed remake of My Fair Lady, we were already getting conflicting reports that neither Knightley nor Wright had a thing to do with the movie.
Now we have confirmation from one participant, at least. Screenrush caught up with Wright on the red carpet at the London Film Festival, and he assured them that the reports of him directing My Fair Lady are “all a lie.”
Interestingly, he couldn’t say much about Knightley’s participation– “Keira might well do it”– which probably mean the years-old reports about Knightley being in the film are still valid. Below you can see Wright’s rebuttal for yourself, including what seems to be utter bewilderment that anyone would make up this story to begin with.

Keira buying an Italian villa?
Keira Knightley could be buying a home in Italy....The actress is interested in buying a Tuscany villa.
Knightley was spotted in Tuscany over the summer, according to The Sunday Times. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is now believed to be looking at Italy villas.
A source told the paper that Knightley is particularly interested in properties in Tuscany. Her "hunting ground" centres on Barga in the Garfagnana valley.
If she buys a villa in Italy, Knightley will add to her property portfolio. The 24 year old also took her pick of the London apartments and owns a £1.5m flat in Mayfair.
